The next step in protecting endangered wildlife at Maputo Special Reserve

Mapesu is a 7221-hectare private game reserve situated in northern Limpopo,South Africa, that aims to preserve and restore the natural environment and to re-establish biological diversity while creatng an up-close and personal experience that reaches into the heart and soul of every visitor.

Our conservaton eforts are coupled with responsible tourism, allowing us to protect and manage an incredibly diverse area with the overall aim of regeneratng a piece of the African wilderness through protectng endangered wildlife species.

In pursuit of this goal, we intend on installing a Long Range Wireless Area Network (LoRaWAN) that will create a sustainable and safe environment for the animals by covering the area with a reliable network that serve to collect data from sensors distributed throughout the 7221-hectare reserve.
